Andrew Ainsworth was approached by a guy in the 1970s who asked him to make some helmets based on a little sketch made by an artist Ainsworth knew. He made the helmets and sold them to this bearded cat for about $75 each. They later appeared in a little sci-fi flick you might have heard of, called Star Wars.
In 2004, Ainsowrth found one of the original helmets in his workshop and sold it to a collector for a tidy $2000. So he decided to make a few more of them - and Lucasfilm sued him for $20 million! So he's suing them right back. The Rundown has all the details.
