Microsoft pulls out its offer to buy Yahoo

Not that I think it matters to Google much but still it will be very pleased to hear that Microsoft Corp. yesterday announced that it has withdrawn its proposal to acquire Yahoo! Inc. Microsoft has been trying hard very long to acquire Yahoo and in the process it had raised its original offer from $44.6bn to $47.5bn (£24.1bn) - $33 per share.
