The FDA "CLAIMS" to have found the salmonella outbreak in the United States and Canada.
According to the FDA. the salmonella is coming from irrigation water and serrano peppers at a Mexican farm, in Mexico. Which is where the raw peppers came from, that were connected to the recent salmonella outbreak.
Dr. David Acheson, the FDA's food safety chief, stated that "the farm is in Nuevo Leon, Mexico," and called the discovery "a key breakthrough."

Serrano peppers are a variety of chili pepper similar to jalapeños but hotter.
NOW called the "The salmonella Outbreak," which has sickened more than 1,200 people since April, had been linked to raw Mexican jalapeños and serranos.
