Liquid crystal dispalys are named after the semi-fluid crystals present in them .LCs have a couple of peculier properties that made them flat to work with.Firstly,they change shapes when electric current is applies to them.Different types of panels will have crystals taking on different shapes when an electric current is applied.Secondly ,liquid crystals can transmit polarised light.An LCD basically works on alternating passing and blocking light to pass through.This blocking and allowing is done by crystals themselves as they change structure as electricity is passed..........
