Ask.com parent IAC is going vertical. This is in answer to a 2 million net loss for 2008($1.08 loss per share). For Q4 2008, IAC reported $227.4 million in net income, or $1.57 per share. They also had several write-downs for underperforming assets, but not even counting these, their adjusted net income came in at $265.5 million for the year, of which $249.6 million was reported in Q4 alone.
