In front of 23,443 crowd on Sunday (September 7), the University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad was declared champions in the 2008 UAAP Cheerdance Championship / Competition at the Araneta Coliseum. The Champions went home with a grand 195,000 Pesos and lots of Samsung MP3 Players. The University of Sto. Thomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe came in second with 120,000 Pesos, while Far Eastern University got the 3rd place with 80,000 Pesos.
