Are we losing our Mother tounge

In saturdays TOI crest edition the leading article was on this subject. It mentioned that more and more urban families are losing their original colour and charecter because their children no longer speaks the mother tounge. There are som many reasons like large scale migration, mixed marriage, small families and most importantly career aspect. Dear friends What is your say on this.
