Google Offers Knol, a Wikipedia Copy with Attribution

Google is offering Knol, a Wikipedia-like site, but with an author’s name on all articles. Google’s Cedric Dupont and Michael McNally said Knol will encourage individuals or groups to contribute knowledge. The key principle for Google’s Knol is to identify an author, so there could be multiple knols on the same subject.
