This system, also called ACC, is similar to conventional cruise
control, but takes the concept a step further. Rather than only
maintaining a specific speed, ACC maintains a specific speed and/or
distance between your car and the car traveling in front of you. If the
traffic in front of your slows down, the ACC system slows the vehicle
down. Using lasers and sensors, the system can help reduce the chance
of an impact. Although , the price is making such
products easier to reach for the average driver.
