These days, libraries are becoming more and more popular in Singapore. The government has really succeeded in transforming the concept of the library. In the past, library is viewed as a place for research and for those more advance in their studies. There was only one library that I can think of, the National Library. However, now almost every corner there would exist one, be it big or small. Libraries are now social places where families hang out on weekends, students study and spend their day after school and also a learning place for kids.
