Nvidia, Intel End Standoff as SLI Added To X58 Chipset

A standoff between Nvidia and Intel has ended as Nvidia announced it will provide native Scalable Link Interface support on Intel’s X58 chipset. Until now, Nvidia has pushed sales of its chipsets through SLI licenses with motherboard makers. The new deal should make Nvidia and Intel more competitive against AMD and its ATI graphics boards.
