Intel’s new six-core Xeon 7400 CPU is designed for virtualization and transaction processing. Up to 16 of Intel’s Xeon 7400s can be placed on a system board for the equivalent of 96 processors in one server box. Each of Intel’s Xeon 7400s supports up to 256GB of memory, and each Xeon 7400 has its own Front Side Bus (FSB).
