Intel named its first desktop processor based on the Nehalem architecture “Intel Core i7.” Intel’s Core i7 is the first of the Nehalem-based products designed for high performance. Intel Core i7 processors feature multithreading, which allows the processor to handle eight software threads. Intel will also be previewing its new Larrabee architecture.
